Responsibilities

Primary Duties:


  • Maintain a positive and professional attitude
  • Operate and assist in operating multi-spindle automatic screw machines
  • Install collets, set and secure tooling holders
  • Check parts produced for dimensional and finish conformance to specifications. Notify lead of any deviations. Remove and reset tooling or otherwise adjust machine as required. Assure all parts are produced with minimum burrs, if any.
  • Maintain statistical process control charting. Also operate PC stations for charting SPC readings and EDBTH.
  • Perform work required from drawings, engineering specifications, layouts and other operating instructions
  • Learn to use all standard, variable, and attribute gauging to check work
  • Remove machined parts, bar ends and turning from machines. Remove oil and separate chips from parts. Restock machine with raw materials.
  • Responsible for keeping all tooling used in area inventoried and organized
  • Learn to install and adjust tooling outlined in the 60-90-120 day skill sheet
  • Work with a safety mindset including learning LOTO best practices
  • Participate in Continuous Improvement, Kaizen, and High Performance Team processes.

    Qualifications

    Minimum Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Demonstrated skill in addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division including decimals and fractions
  • Simple use of formulas, drawings, specifications, charts, and tables
  • Use of adjustable measuring instruments, graduates, gauges and the like requiring interpretation
  • Use and checking of reports and recorded data
  • Be able to pass internal basic shop class
  • Continuously lifting or moving material 5 – 25 lbs
  • Frequently lifting or moving material 25 – 35 lbs
