Position Overview:

To be successful as a barista supervisor, you should demonstrate exceptional management and leadership skills and ensure that the coffee shop staff carries out all duties efficiently. Works with manager on hiring, training, scheduling coffee shop staff. Also prepare supply orders and work with internal departments regarding menu items and pricing for profitability.


Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Recruiting, training, and supervising coffee staff.
  • Prepare weekly work schedules with store manager for staffing the coffee shop and find replacements in cases of staff absence.
  • Ensuring that all coffee expenses are within budget and identify ways to decrease operational costs and improve profitability.
  • Receiving delivered coffee supplies and verifying that the correct items and quantities have been delivered.
  • Taking inventory of coffee supplies and ordering new stock as needed with manager.
  • Solving customer complaints regarding food quality and customer service.
  • Provides prompt, efficient and friendly guest service by exhibiting caring, concern & patience in all guest interactions and treating guests impeccably.
  • As a hands on manager you will takes guest order at the counter and prepare food and specialty drinks.
  • Works with co-workers as a team to ensure guest satisfaction and a pleasant work environment.
  • Reviews the status and appearance of the food for freshness and overall presentation.
  • Prices products for profitability and industry standards
  • Runs the department registers and receives payment, makes change, bank deposits etc.,
  • Maintains strict adherence to department and company guidelines related to personal hygiene, dress and serve safe guidelines.
  • Cleanliness of area will include all types of cleaning.
  • Other duties as may be assigned

Job Requirements:
  • Self-motivated and inspiring

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Availability during operational hours (may include nights, weekends, and holidays)
  • Excellent guest service skills

  • Self-starter, innovator, results-driven with ability to meet both short and long term business goals

Education & Experience required:
  • One year experience as a coffee shop manager
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Education & Experience preferred:
  • Postsecondary education in hospitality or management
