Bilingual Legal Assistant Job at Charles E. Jarrell P.A
The ideal candidate will ensure smooth running of the office and effective case management by providing legal services under the supervision of an attorney (Family Law, Criminal Law & Immigration Law). This individual will communicate frequently with the clients in order to serve them adequately. Additionally, this candidate will conduct necessary case research to aid the legal proceedings.
Responsibilities
- Manage all administrative responsibilities in the legal office.
- Communicate with clients, gathering necessary documents and information to begin building a case.
- Locate and develop case relevant information
- Helps develop cases by maintaining contact with people involved within the case.
- Keeps clients informed by maintaining contact and communicating case progress.
- Maintains case costs by verifying outstanding balances with an attorney, clients, and providers.
- Draft the first copy of legal documents.
- Organize all legal documents in a confidential way.
- Enhances trial proceedings by organizing evidence, preparing exhibits, and scheduling witnesses.
- Scheduling appointments, court dates, trials and meetings.
Qualifications
- Fluent Spanish Language Required (Speaking & Writing)
- High School Diploma
- Experience in legal assistance
- Familiarity with law, legal procedures, and protocols
- Computer Skills
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
