Bookkeeper Job at Distinctive Home & Healthcare
Overview:Distinctive Home & Health Care is an 8(a), Woman Owned, Small Business located in Bowie Maryland. We are currently seeking an experienced PartTime Bookkeeper (25 hours per week, 10am-3pm mon-fri) for our accounting department.
Responsibilities:Maintain financial records and daily computations to update account records
- Solid experience in AP / AR
- Prepares invoices for billing and verifying financial data
- Prepares financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing accounts
- Experience in payroll processing (ADP preferred)
- Prepares general ledger entries, post debits and credits
- Reconcile monthly bank statements
- Financial analyses and special projects as needed
Qualifications:EXPERT in Quick Books Pro and Advanced knowledge of Excel REQUIRED
- Government contracting in healthcare a plus
- Familiar with WAWF a plus
- Able to quickly learn new software appropriate to the business
- Extreme attention to details
- Works well under pressure
- Resourcefulness in implementing and maintaining accounting procedures / policies
- Aptitude in anticipating obstacles / problems and cooperatively with change
- Intuitively understand the nature and dissemination of Confidential Information
