Job Title: Brand Finance Manager, FP&A

Description: Reporting directly to the Vice President of Finance, the Finance Manager will play an integral role in the month end close, forecasting, and budgeting processes. He/she will provide financial leadership in the development of monthly and annual plans (strategic plans, operating plans, and business forecasts) and will focus on the delivery of financial commitments. This role will provide financial support to various key cross functional partners across the brand. Responsibilities: Drive the monthly financial forecasting and budgeting processes ensuring that monthly forecasts are completed on time and accurately
Prepare deep dive category expense reviews that clearly summarize trends and key assumptions included in the outlook
Monitor and manage revenue and expenses on multiple lines of the P&L while partnering with the business and/or accounting to understand risks and opportunities
Work closely with the accounting team on financial close, variance explanations, and miscellaneous audit requests
Leverage financial knowledge and business acumen to build financial models and analyses with little guidance, offering recommendations to improve results
Assist in the creation of presentations for month end, Board of Director meetings, budgets, and other ad hoc analysis
Required: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or similar. MBA a plus.
5+ years of experience within a finance function, preferably within the retail industry
Strong skills in budgeting, forecasting, expense management, financial modeling, systems, and executive reporting
Advanced MS Excel skills are mandatory for this role; must be an MS Excel power user with advanced spreadsheet management/financial model building skills and ability to manipulate large volumes of data
Knowledge and understanding of accounting processes, income statement/balance sheet/cash flow impact of financial decisions, as well as discounted cash flow and return on capital investment analyses
Ability to deal with ambiguity and manage multiple projects through completion in a fast-paced environment
Intellectually curious with a proven track record of self-starting analysis and initiatives
Excellent communication skills and ability to work with all levels of management
The target salary for this role is: $105,000-120,000. Actual compensation within that range is influenced by a wide array of factors including, but not limited to, skill set, level of experience, and other job-related factors.
