IT Business Analyst Job Summary

We are currently seeking a detail-oriented Business Analyst. In this role, you will work with project teams, designing and configuring integrated software solutions for customers in a variety of business domains, including Health and Human Services, Utilities, Probation, Higher Education, Healthcare and more.

Our client’s solution offerings include custom design, integrated solutions that leverage third-party software and COTS products, and highly configurable, low code case management solutions that incorporate leading-edge technologies. These include cloud-based mobility, data analytics and visualizations, artificial intelligence, and machine learning. As a business analyst, you will work within the project teams to design solutions within these offerings.

You will also participate in small-scale planning and assessment engagements where you will work closely with our client’s customers to present and document options, recommendations and roadmaps to support their long-term planning and strategy.

As a business analyst, you will work in a collaborative environment where you will play a key role in obtaining requirements from clients, lead and take part in JAD sessions and work with internal and external stakeholders.

Business Analyst Duties and Responsibilities

· Plan and lead Joint Application Design (JAD) sessions

· Elicit and document business and functional requirements from project stakeholders

· Design and document user interfaces (web, mobile)

· Design and document system interfaces for integrated solutions. Collaborate with client and their customer’s technical resources to validate solution approach and feasibility.

· Create functional design documents

· Configure solutions that are built upon our SaaS case management platform

· Support team members through the development and testing of functional designs

· Support client team members as they go through user acceptance testing of delivered solutions

· Provide status reporting, quality assurance monitoring and ensure adherence to procedures and policies

Business Analyst Requirements and Qualifications

· Must have an interest in and willingness to learn diverse technologies

· Ability to lead design sessions and workshops with clients to capture functional requirements

· Ability to focus on high quality work under pressure

· Presentation skills and the ability to conduct design sessions with key stakeholders. Must be able to manage these sessions in a cooperative and controlled manner.

· Direct and succinct verbal and written communication style with the ability to articulate technical concepts to a non-technical audience

· Bachelor’s degree in business, technology, or a related field

· Scrum, Agile or CBAP™ certification preferred

· Experienced with agile/scrum concepts, scrum events, artifacts, and values

· Strong leadership abilities

· Must have the capability to understand functional and non-functional requirements, document and deliver them to meet project KPIs and success criteria

· Technical background and/or technical project experience is a plus, but not required. This includes experience designing and documenting requirements for an integrated solution with interfaces to third-party and external systems.

· A strong ethical foundation, capable of thriving in an environment and culture where honesty, integrity, and accountability are core values

· A collaborative spirit, a team orientation, and a willingness and desire to contribute to the success of others

· Expertise in the practical application of MS SharePoint to store project, system and development related artifacts, track issues, storage, and presentation of training artifacts

· Experience as a business analyst in projects involving data analytics, artificial intelligence, machine learning and IoT is a plus, but not required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
