We are hiring for our open Inventory Control Jr Buyer positions. The Buyer / Planner is primarily responsible for the management of the spares operations for the entire fleet of aircraft. They are responsible for the spares ordering, tracking and managing of all spares. The Buyer / Planner will also manage core tracking, warranties, and must maintain established minimum inventory levels at each base.

We are hiring for our open Inventory Control Jr Buyer positions. The Buyer / Planner is primarily responsible for the management of the spares operations for the entire fleet of aircraft. They are responsible for the spares ordering, tracking and managing of all spares. The Buyer / Planner will also manage core tracking, warranties, and must maintain established minimum inventory levels at each base.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES
- Prepare purchase orders and send copies to suppliers
- Determine if inventory quantities are sufficient for needs, ordering more materials when necessary with the approval of the Supply Chain Manager
- Respond to customer and supplier inquiries about order status, changes, or cancellations.
- Regularly communicate with suppliers and update the PO tracking database to reflect the shipment's current status. If shipment delays are identified, the Buyer must
- Analyze the impact to the business and discuss options with the Supply Chain Manager and supplier.
- Contact suppliers in order to schedule or expedite deliveries and to resolve shortages, missed or late deliveries, and other problems.
- Compare prices, specifications, and delivery dates in order to determine the best bid among potential suppliers.
- Compare suppliers' bills with bids and purchase orders in order to verify accuracy
- Monitor in-house inventory movement and complete inventory transfer forms for inventory/ Accounting purposes
- Expedite and follow up with suppliers to schedule deliveries, resolve material, value discrepancy, outstanding and overdue delivery of orders, warranty claims and damage, and return of material
- Buyer's will also required to be available for On-Call weekends and after hour's rotation to support all maintenance needs
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- 3 + years' experience with logistics and supply change concepts
- Advanced Computer skills (preferably experience using a computer- based inventory tracking system)
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Ability to adapt to change and short learning curve
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Must have strong communication skills to enable you to interface with senior level management
Preferred Qualifications
- Aviation industry experience preferred
