Sustainable Staffing is now hiring a Cultivation Technician for the Ypsilanti, MI area.

We are looking to hire candidates who are passionate about the cannabis industry, and are interested in learning everything about growing, to join our expanding team.

We offer flexible scheduling, but these positions require working weekend shifts and some holidays. This position gives a self-driven and motivated candidate room for development and growth. The ideal candidate implements constructive feedback, is a team player, and has the ability to learn at a fast pace.

Candidates must pass a criminal background check. You cannot have any felony convictions in the past 10 years and no controlled substance misdemeanors within the previous 5 years. Compliance with Michigan marijuana laws is an essential part of the job.

Cultivation Technicians will be responsible for all daily tasks, such as: watering, trimming, transplanting, defoliation and harvesting the plants. Other duties could include: packaging, prerolls, and other functional duties.

Physical Requirements:

• This position requires extended periods of sitting, walking, bending and reaching.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time, lift objects on a regular basis, and perform daily repetitive tasks
• This position requires the extended and repetitive use of arms, hands, and fingers to cut and manipulate small objects.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Must be able to handle organic matter daily, able to wear PPE as appropriate (eye, face, hand, arm, head, foot, body, fall protection), and able to be exposed to hot, cold, wet, humid, or windy conditions while wearing PPE
• Exposure to allergens and organic pesticides in the grow facility or greenhouse
• Work environments that include exposure to, but not limited to, chemicals, fumes, dust, odors, extreme heat temperatures, heights, indoor AC, no AC, motion, noise, protective gear, vibrations, and water
• Candidate must be 21 years of age or older

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.00 - $15.00 per hour
