Purpose of this position:

Children’s Service Center is currently looking for an energetic and dependable person who works well independently and collectively as a treatment team member. If you are ambitious and confident in your ability to learn, the Caseworker- Family Based Services (similar to: Intensive Family Services, Counselor, Multisystemic Therapist, Family Integrated Therapy, Behavioral Health Services) mental health position is right for you. You will provide in-home supportive casework services in collaboration with the Family Based Therapist. This team member will be fully trained to provide services to youth and/or families in the primary setting of the family’s home. This position will report to the Family Based Director.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Knowledge of professional caseworker principles, practices and methodology
  • demonstrated capacity to further develop these skills

• 
  Knowledge of individual, group behavior and interrelationships with those families receiving program services

• 
  Ability to assist therapist with:
  • Analyzing, interpreting and evaluating case records
  • Making clinical recommendations and formulating service plans and goals

• 
  Hours worked are 10am to 6pm with the flexibility for crisis stabilization based on the family need

This position qualifies for a

Productivity Hourly/Unit Incentive Package

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree from a recognized college or university in Human Services or related field

OR

Bachelor’s degree in an alternative field (i.e.- Education, Theology, Liberal Arts, etc.), that includes 12 credit hours in social services

One year experience working with children in the mental health/CASSP system or related field preferred, but not required

Must pass Safe Crisis Management Training (physical and theory), upon hire and then annually as a condition of employment. Other requirements include:
