CASH POSTING Job at UNC Health Blue Ridge
JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for posting patient and insurance payments, researches and computes contractual adjustments when applicable. Balances cash posted daily and assists in preparation of deposits. Post adjustments related to medical necessity non covered charges. Creates and maintains organized cash packets. Researches NSF checks and works with legal department on settlements. Ensures all documents pertaining to cash posting have been scanned into Document Imaging Application and linked to appropriate accounts. Performs other related duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience: Prior experience working with the public and/or office experience of at least two to three years.
Other: Experience with cash posting and insurance reimbursement helpful. Strong organizational skills required. Extreme accuracy required. Must meet deadlines for having cash posted and balanced and deposit prepared daily. Ability to use calculator and computer network system essential.
TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Requires range of body within functional limits, including bending, reaching, standing, walking, with extended periods of sitting. Requires functional vision and hearing; sensory skills, manual and finger dexterity and eye/hand coordination. Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 25 pounds.
