Lead Sales Associate
The primary roles of the Lead Associate are to provide outstanding service to Mystic Eye Botanica's customers and to maximize the store's sales by offering the right products to meet customers' needs. The Lead Associate is also responsible for occasionally opening and closing the store.
Responsibilities
- Warmly and genuinely great customers and provide outstanding service that delivers great shopping experiences for all customers
- Interact with customers in a way that effectively uncovers their needs
- Utilize knowledge of the store's products to recommend appropriate matches to meet customers' needs
- Accurately complete customer transactions through the store's point of sale system and successfully balance cash and credit receipts
- Adhere to store loss prevention procedures
- Process inventory shipments by accurately completing paperwork, properly labeling merchandise, and placing product on fixtures or in back stock
- Maintain store housekeeping standards
- Maintain store visual merchandising standards
- Implement various operational tasks as directed by store leaders
- Open the store at the start of the business day by effectively completing the “Opening Procedures”
- Close the store at the end of the business day by effectively completing the “Closing Procedures”
- Train Sales Associates on various store standards and procedures
Characteristics and Skills Required
- Prior Retail sales experience
- Passionate and knowledgeable on metaphysical products
- Friendly, service-oriented personality
- Excellent listening skills
- Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
- Comfortable initiating conversation with strangers
- Conscientious with a proven track record of taking initiative to complete responsibilities
- Ability to understand and follow directions
- Proven track record with prioritizing and getting task lists completed
- Good judgment in handling difficult situations
- Basic math skills including ability to count cash and make change
- Ability to work effectively with others and as part of a team
- Ability to endure constant movement, conversation, reaching and grabbing, and other mild levels of physical activity for hours at a time
- Ability to work a variety of hours, including nights and weekends
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $15.50 per hour
