Job Description/Announcement
Position: Child and Family Therapist
DAYS mission: To provide a continuum of human services for all children, youth, and families.
Position Summary: Responsible for providing in-home and outpatient individual and family therapy, supervised visitation and parent coaching, case management, advocacy, linkage to community resources, and crisis intervention services, in addition to maintaining clinical documentation, attending team meetings, etc.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide individual, group and family therapy, case management, crisis management, skill building, and psycho-education services to those referred for services. Strong emphasis in time effective and recovery oriented, evidence-based treatment.
- Facilitate process of assessment and develop treatment focus and goals with clients.
- Provide supervised visitation services for parents granted visitation with their children in out of home placement. Visitation may include therapeutic services and/or parent coaching.
- Provide case management and care coordination with providers of service including but not limited to family members, caseworkers with Human Services, probation officers, school personnel, primary care physicians, and other mental health and community partners.
- Participate in opportunities to receive training that will ensure that evidence-based practices are provided to clients.
- Participate in meetings including but not limited to team meeting and all staff meetings.
- Participate in individual and group supervision
- Complete all required clinical and administrative documentation to accepted standards of practice, accurately, legibly, and by established timelines on agency computer system and paper as needed.
- Provide all treatment within the appropriate limits of the given authorization.
- Complete and follow through with financial and clinical information necessary to ensure reimbursement for services provided to consumers.
- Regularly contact authorizing agencies to discuss appropriate treatment plans and request continued authorization of services.
Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:
Master’s degree in mental health field preferred.
Must register on Colorado DORA
A minimum of 1-2 years of experience working with children, youth, and families involved with the child welfare system or other applicable setting.
Experience and interest in providing therapeutic services within a time effective therapy framework.
Clinical expertise in assessment and therapeutic interventions with consumer affected by mental illness.
Clinical expertise in assessment and therapeutic interventions with consumers and their families affected by mental illness.
Knowledge of community systems and resources are helpful.
Competent in computer skills required.
Must have own car and clean driving record, significant driving is required.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $68,000.00 per year
