Department: Focus: HOPE Food

Reports To: Director of the Food Program
FLSA Status: Non-exempt
General Statement of Duties:
Certify seniors for the Food Seniors Program in accordance with USDA regulations. Perform regular record-keeping functions, including data entry. Work duties involve a high degree of accuracy.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Certify eligible adults.
- Input participant information into the computer.
- Count and scan commodities at the checkout counter.
- Answer inquiries related to the program.
- Type forms
- Perform related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software (including Outlook)
- Ability to interact with others in a professional, polite, and courteous way at all times.
- Strong commitment to civil and human rights.
- Interpersonal skills to work effectively with others.
- Computer literate.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
