The Jackson County Health Department is seeking a Clinic Nurse Supervisor for the Jefferson Health Department.

Under limited supervision, the Clinic Nurse Supervisor would manage the programs, staff, and clinical services of the Jackson County Health Department. Provides professional nursing care in accordance with Northeast Health District nurse protocols, policies, and procedures. Focuses on the prevention of illness, injury, or disability, the promotion of health and maintenance of the health of populations. Identifies community partners, providers, and agencies and develops relationships to further public health efforts in the community. Under the direction of the Jackson County Nurse Manager, the Clinic Nurse Supervisor of the Jefferson Health Department would work collaboratively with the Jackson County Commerce Clinic to organize community events and coordinate the delivery of health care within the community.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in nursing from an accredited college or university AND current Georgia license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse AND CPR certification
OR
Associate's degree in nursing from an accredited college or university AND one year of nursing experience AND completion of a public health nurse course within one year of hire AND current Georgia Registered Professional Nurse license AND CPR certification.

Preferred Qualifications:
Previous public health nursing experience
Previous supervisory experience.

Annual salary $66,168 and generous benefits to include 13 paid holidays, annual and sick leave, health insurance, and retirement plans. Monday-Friday work schedule.

Job Responsibilities

Cares for population with special needs during disasters/emergencies and biological and chemical protocols.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university AND Two years of PHN experience AND Current Georgia Registered Professional Nurse license AND CPR certification OR Associate's degree/diploma in Nursing from an accredited college AND Three years of PHN experience AND Completion of a PHN course within one year of hire AND Current Georgia Registered Professional Nurse license AND CPR certification.
