PRIMARY PURPOSE
Provides specialized integrated clinical pharmacy services for an assigned area. Provides leadership in education and practice of evidence based medication use and optimal patient outcomes.

MINIMUM SPECIFICATIONS
Education:
  • Must have a Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy or Pharm. D degree from an accredited school of pharmacy.

Experience:
  • Successful completion of an ASHP-accredited post-graduate year one (PGY1) residency training program and post-graduate year two (PGY2) residency training program or fellowship


  • Meets Parkland standards of an ASHP-Qualified Residency Preceptor within one year of employment.
  • Prior experience working in assigned practice area preferred.



Equivalent Experience
  • May substitute 5 years of relevant clinical pharmacist experience and current board certification if only one year of or no prior residency training.



Certification/Registration/Licensure:
  • Texas Pharmacist License or eligible for Texas Pharmacist License; must obtain licensure within 90 days of employment.




Skills or Special Abilities:
  • Must demonstrate competency and ability to perform in the desired practice area.


  • Must possess knowledge of drugs, procedure, equipment, common disease states and patient care monitoring within the assigned care areas.


  • Must possess good oral and written communication skills.

  • Must possess good organizational skills.


  • Must have proficient computer skills.


  • Must possess extensive mathematical skills.
