Clinical Pharmacy Specialist - Oncology & Oral Oncolytics Job at Parkland Health and Hospital System

PRIMARY PURPOSE
Provides specialized integrated clinical pharmacy services for an assigned area. Provides leadership in education and practice of evidence based medication use and optimal patient outcomes.
MINIMUM SPECIFICATIONS
Education:
- Must have a Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy or Pharm. D degree from an accredited school of pharmacy.
Experience:
- Successful completion of an ASHP-accredited post-graduate year one (PGY1) residency training program and post-graduate year two (PGY2) residency training program or fellowship
- Meets Parkland standards of an ASHP-Qualified Residency Preceptor within one year of employment.

Prior experience working in assigned practice area preferred.
Equivalent Experience
- May substitute 5 years of relevant clinical pharmacist experience and current board certification if only one year of or no prior residency training.
Certification/Registration/Licensure:
- Texas Pharmacist License or eligible for Texas Pharmacist License; must obtain licensure within 90 days of employment.
Skills or Special Abilities:
- Must demonstrate competency and ability to perform in the desired practice area.
- Must possess knowledge of drugs, procedure, equipment, common disease states and patient care monitoring within the assigned care areas.
- Must possess good oral and written communication skills.
- Must possess good organizational skills.
- Must have proficient computer skills.
- Must possess extensive mathematical skills.
