We are currently seeking a Clinical Supervisor at State Hospital South in Blackfoot.
This full-time position will provide supervision for the Clinician team; must have Clinical License. Applicant must be able to be appointed as a Designated Examiner with the first six months of employment, if not already appointed.

Our generous benefits package increases the total compensation of a full-time (benefits eligible) Clinical Supervisor making $34.00/hour to an estimated $47.32/hour.


The Idaho Department of Health & Welfare is a drug-free workplace. Example of Duties

  • Supervises a multidisciplinary team approach in the professional delivery of clinical and treatment services.
  • Hires staff, schedules workload, assigns priorities, and evaluates performance.
  • Provides technical expertise and advice to management in developing and implementing policies and objectives.
  • Provides program design and direction.
  • Organizes, coordinates, and participates with groups to develop support and service partnerships and expanded community options for clients and families.
  • Evaluates patients, court reports, administration of protocols related to competency or clinical clarification.
  • Review and implementation of policies, protocols, assessing practice standards, and monitoring workload.

Minimum Qualifications

You must possess all the minimum qualifications listed below to pass the exam for this position.   • Idaho licensure as a master's level social worker, or as a Licensed Professional Counselor, or as a Marriage & Family Therapist at the master's level in psychology, counseling, education, psychosocial rehabilitation or a related field (Preference: LCSW, LCPC, LMFT licensure) or Ph.D., Psy.D. or Ed.D. degree, plus licensure at least at the master's level.
  • Some knowledge of supervisory practices.
  • Some knowledge of community organization/development principles and processes.
  • Experience providing social/treatment services in a correctional, institutional, clinical and/or community-based setting.
  • Experience providing in-service skills training to professional staff.
