Engineering & construction management company is currently hiring a full-time Construction Manager (CM) to observe daily construction activities and ensure the construction contractor’s Quality Control Plan is in place and functioning properly. Projects consist of pavement preservation projects at Chickasaw National Recreation Area.

Construction activities include rehabilitation of paving surfaces, including but not limited to: mill and overlay of failing pavement, asphalt removal, transition mill, aggregate topsoil shoulder work and shoulder grading, aggregate topsoil aprons and areas, full or partial depth patching as necessary, concrete headwall and RCP culvert removal and replacement, addition of geotechnical fabric, striping and other pavement markings, removal/replacement and new loop sensors, replacement of MUTCD sign panels (not posts), drainage swales, tree and traffic control measures.

This position is subject to contract award.

Pay: $45.00 - $55.00 per hour

Period of Performance (all dates are approximate and subject to change): 3/13/2023-12/07/2023

Place of Performance: Chickasaw National Recreation Area (CHIC), within the State of Oklahoma, Murray County, South of the City of Sulphur.

Construction Manager tasks include conducting meetings, reviewing submittals, reviewing requests for information, drafting correspondence, preparing cost estimates, reviewing payroll, completing both daily and weekly reports and photographic documentation of work in progress.

Construction Manager Qualifications:

  • Shall be knowledgeable in paving, concrete, erosion and sediment controls, materials testing, and construction practices including applicable industry standards, regulations or codes, cost breakdown estimating and negotiating, and technical writing.
  • Education and professional qualifications in Construction Management.
  • The CM shall have expert computer operating skills to be able to create and manipulate Microsoft Project, Primavera or equivalent schedules and be proficient in a variety of well-known programs such asMicrosoft Word, Excel, Teams, and Project.
  • The CM shall be knowledgeable in all applicable safety regulations and must have a minimum of Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) 30-hour construction safety training.
  • Must have a minimum of five (5) years of experience with the three phases of onsite quality control procedures.
