ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
A construction PM's role is to be responsible for a specific project or several projects within an organization. They oversee the project's planning, budgeting, monitoring, and reporting. One of the primary project manager's roles and responsibilities is to act as a bridge between the upper management and the people who are responsible for the execution of the construction project.
- Scheduling and overseeing all maintenance-related work by managing a team of maintenance technicians and supervisors
- Ensuring the facility satisfies all industry regulations and the client’s request
- Engaging budgets
- Review forecasting, ordering, and price negotiation for materials, machinery, and spare parts inventory
- In collaboration with the HR Manager firing/hiring project staff
- Hiring subcontractors for specialized maintenance work and signing off on maintenance contracts
- Looking for new ways/tools/assets to improve productivity and cut costs
- In charge of the submittal process (BOP, IDL, training, hazardous inventory, safety plans, QCP, and others)
- Customer services
- Attend meetings with management and clients
- Fully Bilingual
- Knowledge of federal contracts
