About the Company:

The Inn at Schofield is a small 192 room hotel located on Schofield Barracks Army Base in Wahiawa. The Inn was established to provide temporary lodging for soldiers and their families during their PCS in or out.

• Bus service is limited onto Schofield Base and requires an approved base pass.

Job Title: Cashier
Location: Hotel Convenience Store

Availability Requirement

• Flexible availability REQUIRED for alternating schedules
• Able to work all following shifts, especially overnight when needed
• Morning 5:30AM-2:00PM
• Evening 1:30PM-10:00PM
• Overnight 9:30PM-6:00AM
• Available to work any day of the week when needed (Weekdays, Weekends, and Holidays)

Duties and Responsibilities

• Use a Point of Sales (POS)/cash register
• Provide outstanding positive customer service and problem resolution
• Keep records of transaction totals
• Take account of and verify the amount of cash in the cash drawer at the start and throughout every shift
• Multi-task several responsibilities in a short amount of time while assisting customers.
• Maintain convenience store and dining area, by keeping it clean, and a safe environment for patrons
• General cleaning, as needed, such as restroom upkeep
• Conduct quality control of items on display and for purchase
• Assist with inventory and stocking merchandise when necessary
• Additional duties as required

Physical Requirements

• Capable of lifting up to 30 pounds
• Standing for long periods of time during an 8-hour shift
• Bending and twisting frequently

Experience (1+ years)

• Use of (POS) systems
• Have Customer service and/or hospitality
• Use of espresso and coffee machines
• Have Basic (PC) Computer Knowledge

Other Requirements:

• 21 years of age older for tobacco sales
• Have a High School Diploma or equivalent
