Full time positions available with outpatient addictions program in Batavia, Genesee County, NY.

Duties: The Counselor will provide clinical, therapeutic individual and group counseling to people who use (or have in the past used) psychostimulants, opioids, and/or multiple substances with a focus on supporting people who use psychostimulants. The Counselor will also refer patients to Peers, mental and physical health services as needed.

Reporting Relationship: The Counselor will report to and receives supervision from the Director of Treatment and/or Clinical Supervisor.

Counselor will collect and report data as required for the grant and provide to the grant coordinator.

Counselor will serve as a training and informational point person for staff on psychostimulant treatment, recovery, evidenced-based practices and programs, and resources.

Counselor will assist with implementation of the clinical/treatment-related elements of the grant workplan.

Counselor screens service requests for emergency /lethality and accepts client for service or links client to other appropriate program/services.

Counselor provides group and individual sessions, and addresses family needs/referrals. Develops and reassesses treatment plans and progress with client to determine length of stay or referral to other programs.

Counselor obtains releases of information in accordance with existing law and regulations. Clearly informs client of their rights and agency policy.

Counselor routinely distributes, collects outcome surveys and questionnaires and provides feedback in assessing the results.

Counselor maintains working relationship with other service providers in order to facilitate referrals.

Counselor maintains statistical and administrative records (in compliance with insurance guidelines) for all assigned clients and activities.

Counselor effectively utilizes clinical software. Prepare videos for supervisory review two or more times per year and schedule time for feedback.

Counselor actively participates in weekly supervision. Will maintain 100-120 units of service (face to face) (despite days off) after the first six (6) months of employment, or percentage thereof depending on job responsibilities.

Counselor maintains a UR/QA deficiency rate of less than 10%. Demonstrates eclectic clinical skills that engage and promote positive change in clients, to include experiential exercises and homework.

Qualifications: Applicants must have a minimum of a high school diploma or jurisdictionally certified high school equivalency and have a CASAC or other QHP designation or be eligible to achieve a QHP designation within a negotiated timeframe.
