Critical Care Nursing Director Job at Clinical Management Consultants
A major regional medical center in the Houston Area has an exciting opportunity for an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Nurse Director.
This award-winning hospital has 400 beds and serves as the regional acute care and trauma center. This facility is recognized nationally for its innovation in Cancer treatment, Bariatric and Orthopedic Surgery. It has received multiple national awards, including Outstanding Patient Experience, a grade A in Leapfrog Hospital Safety. Five Stars recognition in multiple service lines like Spine and Orthopedics, Cardiology, Oncology, General Surgery, Critical Care. The Director of Intensive Care Unit will join a health system that offers continual growth and opportunity to develop throughout one’s career.
Reporting to the Chief Nursing Officer, the Nurse Director of the Intensive Care Unit will lead clinical and administrative operations in a busy 32-bed department. Supported by an outstanding CCRN Certified Nursing Manager, two Nurse Supervisors, and an amazing team of Critical Care Staff RNs. The Director will oversee a fast-paced unit with state-of-the-art equipment and a supportive medical and support staff.
The ICU Nurse Director will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, supporting the staff's ability to meet patient needs. This will include developing and supporting educational initiatives, serving as a mentor to new leaders, and being a champion for quality improvement throughout the department. The ICU Director will also take on administrative duties in the department, including oversight and maintenance of the budget, recruitment and retention of staff, and this person will oversee operations.
