Description:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Included but not limited to the following);
- Perform routine custodial duties including emptying trash cans of the health centers, and maintaining all restrooms when required.
- While maintaining restrooms, ensure all equipment is in working condition and ensure paper towel and soap dispenser are regularly refilled.
- Help with medical waste disposal and separating trash between biohazard and non-biohazard. Perform housekeeping duties in exam rooms such as removing trash and dust from exam tables, walls, scales, countertops, lamps, stools and other medical equipment.
- Maintain the storage area to ensure that it is clean and neat.
- Assist in cleaning up of patient or staff spillage.
- Assist all staff with their facility needs.
- Other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
- Must have a valid SC driver’s license.
- Must provide excellent customer service to staff, vendors and contractors.
- Must be able to understand and follow complex oral and written instructions.
- Must possess thorough knowledge of the occupation hazards (OSHA) and corresponding safety precautions necessary for the safe performance of assigned duties.
- Must be physically able to carry out manual labor duties.
Job Description – CUSTODIAN
- Must have at least five (5) years of experience as custodial worker.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule as work hours may not always be uniformed or prescribed.
- Must be trustworthy.
- Must be responsible, dependable, and punctual.
- Must be able to work at any FHCN site as needed.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- Driver's License
- Minimum one year of custodian experience.
