Job Brief:

Floor Technicians are responsible for helping to maintain the physical attractiveness of the Eskaton Village Carmichael campus. They contribute to this mission by providing thorough cleaning services to the community center, assisted living center, skilled nursing facility, and all common areas. Floor Technicians also use several types of equipment to buff, strip, and wax floors around campus.

Some Essential Duties and Job Functions:

• Provides daily cleaning of hallways, using treated dust mops and wet mops with germicidal solution.
• Buffs, strips, and waxes floors according to a maintenance schedule.
• Cleans carpeting and rugs by vacuuming and shampooing.
• Cleans walls, windows, doors, and ceilings. Vacuums and washes air conditioning registers as needed.
• Picks up trash and linen throughout the campus.
• Performs other duties as needed.

Qualifications:

• Education: High school education or equivalent G.E.D. preferred.
• Training and Experience: At least one year of experience as a Floor Technician or similar classification required. Janitorial or housekeeping experience in a senior service or healthcare setting preferred.
• Job Knowledge: Understanding or general housekeeping duties and responsibilities preferred.
