Compensation Overview
The annual base salary range provided for this position is a nationwide market range and represents a broad range of salaries for this role across the country. The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment. As part of our comprehensive compensation and benefits program, employees are also eligible for performance-based cash incentive awards.

Join the Travelers team as a Customer Solutions Representative!

We are seeking candidates with an agile mindset and the ability to work across multiple systems to process complex policy transactions as part of the policy lifecycle for our customers. The ideal applicant demonstrates a "think customer" mentality with keen attention to detail and sharp problem-solving skills. In this role individuals will process work with a strong balance between speed and accuracy; seek out opportunities for process improvement, develop solid relationships, while focusing on delivering exceptional customer experiences.

Training/Work Schedule Details:
_ Paid training - 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. local time
_ Work schedules - 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. local time; Flex time will be offered after successfully completion of training.
  • This is an office-based position in Richmond. VA.
  • Travelers offers a hybrid work location model that is designed to support flexibility and balance (Hybrid will offer the ability to work from home up to 2 days/week).
Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities
  • Provide internal and external support to customers.
  • Provides customer policy/account support by processing a variety of transactions in a high volume service center.
  • Demonstrates an understanding of Travelers products, procedures, and processing techniques.
  • This role may assist customers and agents with quotes, policy inquires and changes, address insurance billing questions or handle inquiries on technical support.
  • Processes incoming requests for variety of policy changes and/or handling routine policy reviews in applicable system(s).
  • Responsible for Policy Quoting and Issuance.
  • May be responsible for handling compliance transactions.
  • Works directly with internal and external customers to gather required information to handle service requests.
  • Demonstrates on-going understanding of Travelers products, along with various insurance transaction procedures.
  • Addresses questions regarding aspects of a policy within their authority.
  • Identifies, where applicable, potential underwriting risks and refers to correct department.
  • Ensures effective and appropriate communication with all effected internal/external parties resulting from change in customer account.
  • Assists in special work assignments as identified.
  • Acts as a customer support.
  • Support other Business Units as needed (example, Claim).
Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Education, Work Experience, & Knowledge
  • One or more years of work experience in a customer service industry, operations, or insurance industry preferred
  • Prefer two or more years of work experience in a customer service, operations, or insurance industry.
  • Associates Degree or higher preferred.
  • Demonstrated resiliency in high-volume environments and stressful situations.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate both written and verbally clearly in a multitude of channels (phone, emails, etc.)

  • Ability to navigate quoting, issuing, and supporting systems with ease and proficiency.
