General Summary
The Cybersecurity Administrator primarily focuses on the day-to-day security operations (SecOps) within the organization, working to secure our member’s critical information within our systems. This position is relied on to provide first line response to events, requests, and procedural requirements in a multi cloud environment running 24x7x365. This role works also to ensure that our organization is operating our tools effectively and fully, providing the technical support and response needed every day to be recognized as an industry leader in applied cybersecurity.
Overall, our SecOps team is given the mandate of supporting the company’s strategic vision by delivering and operating best in class security technologies across the organization. Our engineers are responsible for the total design, deployment, and lifecycle management for security products. The day-to-day for this role consists of equal parts procedural technical application and dynamic responsiveness to incoming requests.
The team is expected to work together with other IT resources to establish and share 24/7 on-call coverage for platform components (and associated products) through provided company incident response platforms.

Major Duties & Responsibilities

  • Work alongside a small team of security focused engineering resources, analyzing security system events, applying vendor feedback, and responding to regulatory requests.
  • Report and respond to possible threats or related issues through aligned company incident response and documentation platforms (JIRA, etc.).
  • Ensure systems and platforms maintain the appropriate level of vulnerability management through the performance and coordination of routine and ad-hoc maintenance/patching activities.
  • Assists in the application of policies for environments, systems, hosted platforms, firewalls, and networks.
  • Leverage existing investments (NGFW, IDS/IPS, Sandboxing, Behavioral Analytics, Identity Federation, M365, etc.) to secure systems and information, preventing or otherwise responding to potential campaign incidents.
  • Participate in supporting helpdesk activities, answering user questions, backfilling other resources, etc., as directed by management.
  • Participate in on-call rotation schedules for after-hours operational support for core critical issues alongside the rest of the IT staff.
  • Ensure appropriate recording of daily documentation within company systems (JIRA, Confluence, etc.) in alignment with published guidelines.
  • Most importantly: be an active participant in an environment of open access, fast failures, transparency, and continuous improvement.

Required Experience:

Education: *Two-year degree preferred or equivalent specialized courses in securities technologies.
Experience: 1 years+ of experience within areas of information technology.
Any experience with security technologies or concepts such as Zero Trust frameworks, Identity Federation, Next Generation Firewalls, Intrusion Detection and Prevention, Malware Sandboxing, Micro- segmentation, AV/AM, Risk Based Analytics, etc.
Experience working in a virtualized environment a plus.
Skills: Strong decision-making, problem-solving, critical thinking, and testing skills.
Familiarity with collaboration/documentation tools (JIRA, Confluence, Visio, etc.) a plus.
Familiarity with VMware Virtualization, NSX, Tanzu, Palo Alto, Carbon Black, Dell OS10, O365, or associated supporting technologies are a plus.
Communication: Must have superior interpersonal skills and be comfortable engaging with people from a wide variety of roles, cultures, and economic backgrounds.
