Job Summary:

The Data Analyst plays a key role in supporting the agency's efforts to provide fundraising services to nonprofit organizations. This individual is responsible for analyzing donor data, creating reports and visualizations as well managing the data ingestion process for the agency’s data warehouse. The Data Analyst is a key partner for Client Service teams, at key times presenting insights and analysis to clients and conducting analysis based on routine, strategic, and ad-hoc requests.


Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Manage the requests, retrieval and ingestion of client and agency data into the Agency’s data warehouse.
  • Create ad-hoc and standardized reports and visualizations to communicate insights and findings to the client services team and clients.
  • Collaborate with CS team to help identify key donor audiences for fundraising mailings.
  • Use data to identify opportunities for growth and develop recommendations for fundraising campaigns.
  • Monitor and report on the performance of direct mail campaigns for clients.
  • Performs other duties as required.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication skills and ability to explain complex data to non-technical team members and clients.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and other data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI)

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in mathematics, statistics, computer science, or related field
  • Experience working with databases, SQL knowledge is a plus.
  • Familiarity with nonprofit fundraising concepts and terminology is a plus.
  • Experience utilizing cloud-based data warehouse solutions to manage data storage and ad-hoc report creation (Snowflake and Azure preferred) a plus.
  • Familiarity with CRM (constituent relationship management) tools like Salesforce, Raiser’s Edge is a plus.
