Full-time, Regular, Exempt Position


The University of Maine System (UMS) is beginning a five-year initiative to improve its core system that will comprise three primary projects: implementations of HR and Finance cloud platforms and a reimplementation of PeopleSoft Campus Solutions, the UMS’ student information system. The UMS Information Technology team is seeking a data-savvy collaborator to join its team as a Data Documentation Coordinator that will greatly contribute to this crucial initiative. The person in this position will work closely with IT colleagues, data stewards/stakeholders, and project teams to maintain and transform a significant data documentation repository as well as to contribute to the implementations of HR and Finance Oracle Cloud platforms and the reimplementation of PeopleSoft Campus Solutions. This position will also collaborate closely with UMS-wide data governance teams to coordinate data consistency efforts that pertain to the Repaving MaineStreet initiative.


This is a two-year full-time fixed-length position with the possibility of being hired into a continuing appointment position at the end of the two-year term. UMS IT supports Fully Remote / Work-From-Home employees and is not dependent upon a specific physical location. Office space on a University of Maine System campus location can also be provided if desired.


Based on the qualifications and experience of the successful applicant, the annual salary range is low $30s to low $50s plus a 10% employer contribution to the UMS retirement plan. Additional benefits include medical, dental, vision, and tuition waiver programs for employees and dependents. Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree or combination of equivalent relevant experience and education.
  • Experience in data analysis or data management

Preferred:

  • Experience in a higher education setting, especially with higher education data, or in a university functional area office (e.g., Student Records, Financial Aid, Admissions, HR, Finance, etc.)
