The Day Assistant is responsible for the health, safety and welfare of participants residing in The Arc Mid-Hudson residences. Their primary focus is to ensure that the medical needs of assigned residents are met, under direction of the Residential Coordinator (RC) and Registered Nurse (RN). He/she is responsible for communicating all medical needs and information in a timely manner to the RC and RN.

Seven unique men with their own sense of community live at the Mooney Hill residence. The house lies in a scenic area, neatly tucked away in the woods with a spacious yard and taste of nature. The folks who live there enjoy going outside when it’s nice out and playing sports, waving at all the cars who pass by. They are open to go on many different trips throughout the area and farther, but they all have their favorites as well! A high school diploma or GED is required. Previous experience in the DD field preferred. Must have good verbal and written communication skills. An acceptable NYS driver's license is a must. Medication Administration certification must be obtained within first 90 days and be continually maintained. Knowledge of medical terminology medical background a plus.
