(1) Responsibilities & Key Result Areas
Maintain and support corporate Windows, Apple systems environment- Responsible to help address/resolve desktop systems, provide assistance to end users.
- Install laptops, software and maintain inventory of systems, software and applications
- Manage software upgrades, patches, and implementation of new components within the environment
- Maintain and support various corporate IT applications both Internal, Cloud based applications.
- Provide assistance in development and maintenance of standards, department guidelines, documentation, policies and procedures.
- Create and maintain daily/weekly/monthly operational checklists and operational reports
- Coordinate with external vendors for operational requirements, such as purchase, RMA
- Work with 3rd party application service providers for application access, management and control.
- Maintain and support the Active Directory domain, including the associated accounts and permissions.
- Performing routine server and network maintenance tasks such as daily health checks, maintaining application patches, user access,
- Monitor server and network uptime and capacity utilization etc.
(2) Competencies – Technica l / Functional and Managerial
Technical
Must have:
- Sound knowledge on Windows desktop installation, administration & trouble shooting activities.
- Handful knowledge on troubleshooting issues with Apple, Linium Operating Systems.
- Basic understanding of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policies
- Experience of working in virtualized environment with Exchange, Lync, non-windows servers etc
- Fundamental understanding of network and Internet concepts (e.g., switches, routers, firewalls, web browsers, TCP/IP, SSL, HTTP, etc.)
- Troubleshooting server/client connectivity, transaction logs, audits and security logs.
Good to have Skills:
- Basic understanding about ISO 27001 Standards and implementation.
- Server configuration, tuning, capacity planning, performance, monitoring, and diagnostics
- BCP / Disaster Recovery techniques for windows servers.
Desired Certifications:
- Microsoft Certification. Cisco, RHEL Certifications will be a plus .
