Director - Laboratory - Wilkes Barre General Hospital - 1.0 FT Job at Wilkes Barre General Hospital
Oversee a wide variety of administrative, fiscal, and technical activities to ensure the efficient operation of the clinical laboratory and compliance with corporate policies. Responsible for the quality control program, quality assurance, and the point of care testing programs within the clinical laboratory. Planned, organize, directed, controlled, and evaluate the work of the clinical laboratory and coordinated it with other areas of the hospital. Responsible for all personnel including hiring, discipline, staff development, evaluation, and payroll. Act as technical supervisor for clinical laboratory functions off-site and owned by the hospital. Assure the laboratory meets all regulatory requirements (AABB, JCAHO, CLIA, etc.)
- Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or biological or chemical science is required, Master's degree preferred.
- A minimum of five (5) years of management experience is required.
- MT (ASCP) or equivalent preferred
