TEAL believes in hiring only the best Director of Business Development (DBD): within our industry. The Director of Business Development will be responsible for growing TEAL market share within their region, in both our traditional multi-housing markets, as well as helping us expand to new vertical markets. We are looking for someone looking to challenge the status quo and who is driven to find a better solution to the way it’s done today. Our ideal candidate will have a proven record of providing comprehensive and unique solutions, for every client, in order to create and grow revenue streams and market share in both new and existing vertical and geographic markets.

This position is a "working from home" position. You will report directly to our VP of Sales & Marketing, who is located in our Dallas, TX office. This position will need to travel domestically, covering Arizona, Nevada and occasionally California.

This position ensures positive employee relations while practicing our Company Values.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
    • Will focus on developing our business with both new and existing clients.
    • Our primary client base is in Multi-housing which includes multi-family, student housing, senior living and hospitality. Candidate must have relationships in that vertical market segment.
    • A problem solver and solutions provider who excels at delivering world-class customer service to our clients.
    • Passion to drive sales growth and market share of new and disruptive business solutions.
    • Someone looking to challenge the status quo and driven to find a better solution to the way it’s done today.
    • Establish, develop and maintain positive business and client relationships.
    • Maintain a well-developed pipeline of prospects.
    • Perform cost-benefit and needs analysis of existing/potential clients to meet their needs.
    • Connect with clients through both warm and cold leads, prospecting, and industry networking.
    • Coordinate sales effort with team members and other departments.
    • Analyze regions market potential, track sales and update status reports on a regular basis.
    • Supply management with reports on client needs, and pain points to appropriate departments.
    • Will need to attend industry trade shows, and client events.
    • Proactively deploy and exhibit our TEAL Values.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES:
    • Ability to create and deliver persuasive presentations tailored to the audience needs.
    • May be required to perform product training to clients.
    • Must be able to work independently without getting discouraged.
    • Ability to negotiate with openness for feedback (positive or negative in nature).
    • Working knowledge of CRM systems, and ability to make timely status updates.
    • Ability to build and cultivate productive professional relationships.
    • Proven track record of selling and negotiating.
    • Must be able to work independently and be highly self-motivated.
    • Timely entry of expense reports.
    • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Must be able to attend events outside of the regular work schedule.
    • Must have the ability to travel domestically, with overnight stays covering Arizona, Nevada and occasionally California.

MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION, CREDENTIALS, LICENSES and EXPERIENCE: :
    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or related field, is required.
    • Minimum 5+ years of experience in Outside Sales/ Business Development in Construction, Real Estate or Technology industries.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required.
    • Must have a valid Driver’s License with acceptable driving record.
    • Must be able to travel 25% of time.
