Job Title: Director of Operations - Stewarding, Hanalei Bay

Position Location: Kauai, HI - Relocation Provided, if needed

Position Overview:

Responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the hotel Stewarding, Public Area, and Kitchen Cleaning department in a large luxury resort. Director will also oversee TSC’s housing and transportation program in Hanalei. Hospitality Stewarding department head experience or higher required, no exceptions. This position is The Service Companies’ on-site account manager and represents the face of The Service Companies to the client.

Essential Duties:

· Responsible for the overall management of the entire Stewarding and Public Area departments to include customer service scores and profitability

· Manages a base of over 80 employees

· Oversee the seamless arrival & care of of TSC’s relocation program & H2B program employees, who arrive from Puerto Rico, California, Jamaica, El Salvador

· Oversee the smooth execution of TSC’s Transportation program, which supports the Relos & H2Bs

· Key interface between client property senior management and The Service Companies Senior Management

· Uphold the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and conduct

· Publicly recognizes and rewards employees

· Coaches underperforming employees to improved performance

· Ensures new employees follow the company training plan

· Ensures proper documentation is completed as necessary

· Ensures payroll is completed daily based on The Service Companies’ on-demand pay model

· Smiles and is friendly when interacting with co-workers, guests and property employees

· Follows and teaches all required safety and standard operating procedures

· Adheres to all company and regulatory policies. Reports any wrongdoing to corporate headquarters in Miramar, Florida

· Available to work weekends, holidays, rotating shifts and long hours

· Acts as a role model to other The Service Companies employees

Skills and Abilities:

· 5+ years prior Stewarding management experience in a large resort

· Ability to understand, analyze and manage the monthly P&L

· Ability to speak publicly addressing a large group

· Ability to push and pull 50 pounds

· Ability to remain standing for extended periods of time

· Must meet company and client’s appearance standards

· Ability to work with a variety of cleaning equipment and chemicals

· Ability to perform all duties as required with or without an accommodation

· Ability to motivate and respect a diverse team of hourly employees

· Knowledge of Microsoft Suite

· Spanish fluency highly preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $85,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
