SUMMARY
The PATH Dissemination Specialist contributes to the compilation of a comprehensive research-based body of knowledge, resources, tools, and practices to support Tribal Home Visiting (THV) grantees1 in implementing the Maternal, Infant, and Early Childhood Home Visiting goals. Responsibilities include designing and distributing materials and resources for THV and the larger home visiting field. The Dissemination Specialist develops home visiting content and graphics for e-learning courses, electronic newsletters, grantee profiles, success stories, infographics, videos, podcasts, and other print materials.
The Dissemination Specialist will participate in THV meetings and serve as an integral part of the PATH team, contributing to other duties as needed.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Developing: The Dissemination Specialist works closely with the PATH team, consultants, contractors, and the Administration for Children and Families leadership team to ensure that resource development goals are successful and deliverables meet quality and timeliness standards.
- Develop universal resources and tools or other program publications, including e-learning courses, electronic newsletters, grantee profiles, success stories, infographics, videos, podcasts, and other print and digital materials
- Conceptualize design layouts, create and edit videos and graphics for THV print and digital publications
Supporting TA: The Dissemination Specialist assists the PATH team and consultants with planning and supporting all TA activities to grantees.
- Contribute to TA activities (webinars, targeted audience activities and individual TA), especially related to the development, and use of multimedia and other dissemination materials
- Coordinate the development and implementation of national and regional grantee meetings
- Coordinate with partners, model developers, and other TA providers, as appropriate
Disseminating: The Dissemination Specialist develops and implements effective dissemination strategies to provide grantees and stakeholders with relevant and timely information about THV.
- Complete research and keep informed about the latest home visiting publications and dissemination tools
- Support the development and maintenance of the THV webpages
- Maintain relevant and timely content for the THV Information Portal
- Develop relevant dissemination strategies to maximize the reach of both THV grantees and the public
Organizing and Archiving: In collaboration with the dissemination team, the Dissemination Specialist organizes the dissemination work to ensure the timely delivery of products and tasks.
- Catalog relevant existing and new dissemination resources continuously
- Establish and maintain branding style guidelines, style sheets, templates, and other project design management aids
- Maintain a list of design tasks within the project management tool to ensure timely delivery of materials and to contribute to accurate monthly and annual reporting on completed tasks
- Contribute to the development of dissemination policies and procedures, and guidelines
Identifying Needs and Assessing TA: Work closely with the PATH team and grantees to conduct an annual TA needs assessment, annual TA evaluation, and other reports and evaluation documents to help monitor and improve TA activities.
- Maintain and update the annual needs assessment and evaluation tools
- Obtain relevant feedback data from THV grantees
- Track TA performance data
- Analyze TA activity and performance data
- Share observations of lessons learned in the planning and delivery of TA
- Participate in quality improvement efforts
Perform other duties as assigned to ensure the efficient and effective functioning of the department.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- 2-5 years of experience in home visiting, early childhood, mental health, public health, or related field.
- Two years of graphic design experience
- Skilled in the use of multimedia software and e-learning applications, including PowerPoint, Articulate, Constant Contact, and Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Fresco and Premiere Pro)
- Highly skilled in meeting facilitation and project planning
- Familiarity with production and rendering methods, including drawing, photography, and interactive media
- Expertise in effective communication
- Provision of TA to professional and paraprofessionals in American Indian Alaska Native communities
- Ability to work collaboratively with individuals representing a range of backgrounds, diversities, and skill levels
- Ability to be flexible and adaptable to dynamic changes in the work environment
- Excellent editing, writing, and verbal skills with a proven ability to develop materials and communicate about THV issues, child development, maternal and child health, early learning,
- Ability to read, interpret and provide basic data analysis
- Experience with 508 compliance
- Ability to work with a team as well as independently
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret complex documents
- Ability to manage multiple tasks
- Travel, including overnight stays required

EDUCATION
Bachelor’s degree in graphic design (a bachelor’s degree in early childhood, mental health, public health, or related field with experience in graphic design and dissemination may substitute the Bachelor’s in Graphic Design)
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is frequently required to use finger dexterity as well as sufficient hand dexterity to use a computer keyboard and be capable of reading a computer screen. Also, may need to remain seated for long periods, have the ability to perform repetitive motions and hold objects. Employee may be required to hold a writing instrument, communicate verbally, and hear well enough to detect nuances and receive detailed information.
They may be required to grasp objects, push and pull objects, bend, stand, walk, squat or kneel. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision for data preparation or analysis and expansive reading.
WORKING CONDITIONS
The work conditions described here is representative of those an employee encounters while performing this job. Depending on work location, the incumbent will typically work indoors in a heated and air-conditioned office, with a mixture of natural, incandescent and fluorescent light with low to moderate noise levels or be subject to working conditions conducive to a home office. When travel is expected, the incumbent will be exposed to outside environmental conditions during those times.
