THE OPPORTUNITY

This is an excellent opportunity for an organized, logistics inclined leader with a strong background in distribution and communication to set and achieve high standards at FDR Services Corp. The company is seeking a dedicated Distribution Manager to effectively manage the FDR fleet and routes ensuring customers are provided timely deliveries with professional representation. The Distribution Manager will support the vision and goals of the Distribution Department.

Starting compensation ranges from $72,000-$78,000 per year PLUS benefits and quarterly bonus opportunities.

Some travel may be required for this position.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

· Oversee transportation routes and schedules to ensure timely delivery of product in a cost-effect manner.

· Oversee the Distribution department and the training of Distribution employees

· Dispatch daily deliveries to include weight controls, accurate counts, and administrative tasks associated with pickup and delivery, including final oversight of the QA controls related to delivers.

· Responsible for the coordination and communication of all employees within the Distribution department.

· Identify safety issues and implement/communicate new safety plans

· Perform effective analysis and recordkeeping including service schedules and performance of the leasing companies in conjunction with the General Manager.

· Oversee driver manifests and paperwork associated with deliveries to customers

· Provide timely and responsive actions ensuring top quality customer service

· Create timely and preventative maintenance plans and programs to insure maximum equipment life and minimum down time.

· Establish and cultivate customer and vendor relationships.

· Be responsive to the requests of the Account Executives on behalf of their customers.

· Manage the relationship between FDR and the vehicle leasing company(s).

REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE:

  • High School diploma or equivalent, college degree preferred
  • Prior experience in distribution and management
  • Minimum valid Class B CDL License
  • Strong communication skills, work ethic, motivation, and internal drive
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, Work, PowerPoint)
