We offer Regular Full-time status Distribution Center Trainers a starting wage of $22.50 per hour plus eligibility for quarterly incentive bonuses, and benefits that includes medical, dental, vision, life, LTD, 401(k) with up to 5% company match, 3 weeks of PTO within the first year, and a safety shoe allowance. We're proud to offer 1st and 2nd shift, Monday – Friday schedules. Some weekend overtime when we’re busy, but that’s an opportunity to earn more money!

Position responsibilities:

  • Coordinates and provides training to employees in compliance with Standard Operation Procedures company and department policies and processes.
  • Ensures new employees complete company onboarding training, including job-specific training and Standard Safety Operation Procedures and Hazmat certification.
  • Coordinates cross-training and performance improvement training activities for all employees.
  • Ensures training and safety documentation is up-to-date and accessible to all stakeholders, and maintains records of the trainings provided to Distribution Center employees.
  • Provides input to Distribution Center and Human Resources teams to improve processes throughout the facility that could positively impact productivity, accuracy and safety.
  • Recommends appropriate modifications to the Training Solutions Specialist to increase training program effectiveness.
  • Serves as a role model in promoting continuous improvement practices throughout the Distribution Center by educating employees in these practices and modeling their application.

Position requirements:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); at least 1 year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous experience in a training function is preferred, but not required for this role.
  • Knowledge of Distribution Center operational processes, including shipping, receiving, and inventory control.
  • Computer application skills: Ability to use the Internet, e-mail, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio.
  • Knowledge of essential safety processes and procedures for all positions in a distribution environment.
  • Knowledge of process improvement principles and methodologies.
  • Ability to develop and use systems for organizing and maintaining information.
  • Skill in starting and persisting with specific courses of action while exhibiting a high motivation and sense of urgency.
  • Strong commitment to the implementation of quality processes throughout the organization.
  • Ability to identify and recommend enhancements to improve processes, quality and resource utilization.
  • Skill in providing accurate information, both positive and negative, to stakeholders.
  • Ability to present orally information to individuals and small groups.
  • Skill in listening to other to identify issues, needs, or concerns.
  • Skill in providing constructive feedback and criticism to reinforce or redirect behavior.
  • Skill in influencing and leading others in a particular direction to achieve business goals.
