Downstream Scientist at Elkton, VA 22827 Job at Freyr Solutions (Client: Pharmaceutical Company)
We are looking for Downstream Process Analyst who will perform downstream process development activities for a vaccine-related drug substance intermediate. The candidate will participate in/drive purification and chemical reaction assembly of proteins at lab and pilot scales. Common work includes designing and troubleshooting experiments, maintaining analytical systems, analyzing data, and presenting the findings to the team. The candidate will also have the opportunity to author technical documents and work with customers at manufacturing scale. The candidate will be part of a dynamic cross-functional team of scientists and engineers. Shift work may be required activities,
Requirements:
- BS in Chemical, Biochemical, or Biomedical engineering, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or Chemistry.
- General lab experience
- Knowledge of tangential flow filtration processing
- Knowledge of protein purification
- Knowledge of analytical HPLC and UPLC
- Relevant experience in the pharmaceutical industry is preferred
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $28.00 - $34.00 per hour
