Typical hours include: Sunday 8:30 am to 8:30 pm, Monday and Tuesday 3:15 pm to 11:15 pm, other Wednesday 3:15 pm to 11:15 pm,

DSP/COMMUNITY LIVING SPECIALIST
As a Direct Support Professional/Community Living Specialist at NEW STAR SERVICES, you will provide services to adults with developmental disabilities in a community living home and a supported apartment. You will be assisting in all areas of daily living so that each resident meets their personal goals and develops self-management and independence. This would include helping them with shopping, menu planning, traveling to appointments, building social interactions, setting goals, and going to community outings!
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Responsible for direct care support and training for residents.
- Implements resident training programs as it relates to their personal growth and independence.
- Assists residents in accessing community resources consistent with their needs and personal choices.
Requirements:
- Valid drivers’ license
- Insurable driving record
- Two years’ experience
- Highschool Diploma/GED
- CNA or DSP certification preferred
