ACG is seeking an EHR Change Management Revenue Cycle / Coding Specialist to support the Department of Defense (DoD) Healthcare Management System Modernization (DHMSM) program. The DHMSM program provides modernization of Electronic Health Record (EHR) capabilities for the DoD, a $4.6B contract, known as MHS Genesis. This highly visible and impactful program is designed to deploy a new electronic health record to the military health system, supporting nearly 10 million service members and their families. ACG, a partner in the Leidos Partnership for Defense Health (LPDH), is seeking candidates to support a number of positions to define, implement, deploy and sustain new capabilities for the MHS GENESIS DoD Electronic Healthcare Records (EHR) system.
The person in this role will assist with the implementation of the Cerner Revenue Cycle module in the DoD EHR system. This person will support Military Treatment Facilities (mainly overseas / OCONUS) to assist with the roll out of the Revenue Cycle components of the new DoD EHR.

Job ID 2023-228. Pay $150,000/yr. Position is telework with the potential for approximately 50% travel. Federal government contractor COVID-19 vaccine recommendations (must have COVID vaccines and boosters for required overseas travel) and standard precautions apply. The duration of this position is approximately 1 year with the possibility for extension.

Position Responsibilities

Perform assessments and evaluation of workflows and content to support the deployment of the electronic health record across services with a focus on Revenue Cycle finance and coding.
Understands hospital and/or ambulatory business and coding practices as well as deployment of technology into healthcare environments. Uses previous Cerner experience to facilitate Business and Coding Process Change and will provide Change Management Consulting to ensure that organizational aspects (i.e., organizational culture, fit, etc.) are addressed as new enabling technologies are implemented. Uses previous Cerner experience to support the review and communication of Start-Stop-Continue workflows as well as gap analysis between current and future state. Able to articulate and define Change Impacts to support end users adoption of Enterprise Approved Workflows. Comfortable with facilitation of hospital operation discussions.
Works with team in the analysis, formulation, development and delivery of engagement material and results. Plans, develops, and maintains engagement project documents. Individuals in this job family will have regular interaction with members of the LPDH Partnership as well as military / medical / staff from the service facilities. Consultants may also work on projects at customer sites alone or with a team. Required Qualifications & Skills

  • BS degree and/or RHIT
• 12 years of prior relevant experience
  • US Citizenship with ability to obtain ADP IT-II clearance based on a minimum of a Tier 3 investigation.
  • 5 years’ experience with Cerner accounting and coding workflows
5 year’s experience with Revenue Cycle, Professional Coding and / or Facility Coding
  • Hospital operational experience
  • Expert level skills in Cerner and coding workflows / design (Cerner Workflow Designer)
  • Must be willing to support international time zones (Pacific and Europe)
  • May require international travel for go-live support
  • Microsoft Office – PowerPoint, Excel and Word
  • Hospital business operational experience
  • Skills in facilitating data gathering and workflow review sessions
  • Skills in facilitation of change management
  • Ability to provide demonstrations and presentations virtually and in person to engage end users across all levels of the organization
  • Highly motivated, self-starter, able to work autonomously and in a team environment

Desired Qualifications & Skills

  • Current or previous DoD ADP IT-II clearance (or higher)
  • Previous DHA MHS exposure / familiarity
