Lendlease is proud to be partnering with the Australian Defence Force to deliver $1bn+ of critical infrastructure upgrades and redevelopment at RAAF Base Tindal. The package is part of the government’s $8 billion in planned spending on NT Defence facilities under Developing Northern Australia initiatives.
The project will enhance air-to-air refuelling and air support capabilities, ensuring we can support critical ADF operations – everything from air combat missions through to responding to natural disasters both at home and throughout our region.
Role
This is a hands on role, for a strong EHS Coordinator. Working with the two other EHS Coordinators on site, you will be responsible to provide specialist EHS knowledge to support the Construction Management team and Site Manager in driving superior environment and health and safety performance onsite. You will achieve this by identifying issues and trends, monitoring compliance with Lendlease EHS protocols and implementing safety initiatives to improve our safety performance. This role will provide a good challenge, with an site wide infrastructure upgrades, as well as a number of building facilities projects with the added issue of it being a fully operational live airfield.
Requirements

Previous experience operating within a large civil and structural project or civil construction environment in a similar EHS role and hold all necessary certifications and qualifications

People and performance management of subcontractors, suppliers and direct labour to ensure Health & Safety standards are held to the highest degree

Ensuring the project follows the company EHS plan as well as monitoring the implementation of environmental and sustainable requirements

Clear and articulate communication skills coupled with an ability to manage stakeholders, both internally and externally
