The Employee Integration Advisor is responsible for ensuring all travel nurse files are compliant with State, Federal, individual hospital, The Joint Commission (TJC) & other regulatory agency requirements. The Employee Integration Advisor reports directly to the Supervisor, Employee Integration.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Obtain all required HR & compliance documentation for each nurse prior to the start of the nurse’s travel assignment.
  • Ensure that assigned nurse files are complete with applicable documents, tests, screenings, etc. prior to the beginning of and during the duration of an assignment.
  • Assist nurses in setting up appointments for physicals, drug screens, PPDs, Chest X-rays, titers, vaccinations, fit tests, color tests, & others as needed.
  • Begin communication with the nurse in a timely manner after receiving an initial email notification that the nurse has an assignment.
  • Maintain communication regularly with the nurse until the file is complete.
  • Keep the Employee Integration Director, Recruiting Staff, and other departments informed in a timely manner of any potential & actual problems with the nurse file that could affect the assignment.
  • Submit required documentation to healthcare facilities within the time frame required.
  • Ensure that all documentation submitted by a nurse is correct and legible.
  • Maintains confidentiality at all times in accordance with Emerald Health Services policy and procedures and HIPAA requirements.
  • Adapt to the needs of the company by demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
  • Conduct self in a professional manner at all times – this includes arriving to work on time and completing tasks and assignments.
  • Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
  • One to two (1 - 2) years of experience in health information management preferred
  • College (AA, BA preferred) degree in a related field or equivalent experience required.
  • Strong organizational and written/verbal interpersonal skills, along with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to professionally and confidentially handle personal information.
  • Adaptability to change and ability to prioritize competing duties.
  • Working knowledge of TJC, Federal and State Healthcare regulations, including HIPAA preferred.
  • Possess expert computer skills, including full suite of Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.

Pay Rate: $26 an hour
