General Summary

As a Process Engineer on the Business Process Management Team you will collaborate with leaders and teams across the business to deliver solutions that improve communication and efficiency by documenting and optimizing complex processes.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

  • Manage simultaneous process implementation and improvement efforts
  • Analyze assigned “issues” to determine potential impact to current standard operating procedures and to identify opportunities for improvement
  • Create project plans/charters that clearly identify the current state, stakeholders, desired outcome, major actions and decision points, delivery timeline, phased deliverables if applicable, and measurable success criteria
  • Working cross functionally to document undocumented processes
  • Updating documentation to accurately reflect changes
  • Helping to implement and adhere to a structure for business process documentation, issue tracking, project tracking, change management, and business process and systems roadmaps
  • May be responsible for managing various systems functionality roadmaps to align with current and future business needs
  • Consults with internal and external experts to determine best practices
  • Maintains work, schedule, and project logs to provide updates to leadership
  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships across the organization to become a trusted partner and resource for problem solving and organizational improvement
  • Align stakeholders to an agreed upon solution that satisfies all parties and updated requirements
  • Summarize issues and proposed solutions for stakeholders and leadership in a way that highlights the considerations and decision points for efficient buy in or feedback
  • May be required to create and lead small functional teams while long term organizational changes are implemented
  • Additional responsibilities and duties as assigned

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, business administration, management, engineering, or job-related discipline; or equivalent job-related experience. Project Management certification preferred.
  • 5 (Five) or more years of experience as a business analyst, process engineer, project manager, program manager, or job-related role. Experience in Telecommunications industry preferred.
  • Ability to partner with functional owners and experts to design and optimize cross functional business processes involving different datasets and systems
  • Ability to own delivery of business solutions that traverse several internal and external functional groups; including guidance for ongoing governance
  • A passion for making complex processes simple for end users with clear documentation, relevant and accurate information, and efficient tools and systems
  • Ability to independently manage complex, high-visibility projects. Demonstrated ability to understand project interdependencies and impacts.
  • Experience managing and motivating staff from different disciplines to collaborate and produce results in a timely manner. Must have excellent leadership skills.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of project management and change management principles, budgeting and resource allocation processes.
  • Excellent judgment, problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple efforts concurrently ensuring relevant milestones, deadlines, standards, process and regulations are upheld.
  • Strong proficiency with all MS Office programs.
  • Willingness to travel as needed/required.

Working Conditions

  • Employee remains in the sitting position for prolonged hours. Employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, use hands to handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Working conditions may include being in an open (shared) cubicle/workspace area.
