Enterprise Network & Security Cloud Architect
The Enterprise Network and Security Cloud Technical Architect will combine expertise across modern network, security, cloud, data, and application architectures. He or she will have significant competence in cloud networking and security. This individual will have a good grasp of technical design principles and support the development of enterprise design patterns, artifacts, repositories. This individual will possess cross-functional architecture expertise and the ability to lead and participate in the creation of technical solution architecture designs using cloud native and digital services. This is a Senior Architect-level position, and requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work with IT and business leadership, as well the ability to work with detail-level IT experts and architects.

Job Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional solution design efforts involving cloud networks, security, apps, data and analytics
- Take accountability for high and low level design artifact generation with special attention given to network and security architecture
- Support design reviews
- Lead reviews of solutions to audit against design requirements
- Help maintain a roadmap of cross-functional technical architecture services
- Support ADM’s emerging Cloud CoE
- Develop expertise in rising areas of technical need (e.g., for emerging technologies)
- Support Digital MVP project designs
- Support microservice and serverless solution design efforts
- Help maintain and develop technical standards
- Help develop cross-functional technical services, including DevOps pipelines, test automation, infrastructure as code, digital-self-service
- Support vendor reviews and identify risks and required mitigations for cloud and SaaS vendors
- Provide subject matter expertise to design, develop, and implement complex architecture in alignment with Enterprise Architecture’s direction and standards
- Consult with ADM project teams and provide guidance and expertise
- Maintain knowledge of industry trends and utilize this knowledge to educate both IT and the business on opportunities to build better target architectures that support and drive business decisions.
Job Requirements
- 6 years of IT experience
- 1+ years of experience working in TOGAF 9, Zachman, or similar architecture framework
- 3+ years of IT technical design and implementation experience overall (either exclusively or across applications, data, cloud infrastructure, networks, or security)
- 2+ Years of solution technical design involving Microsoft Azure, including both high-level solution design, and detailed technical design
- 1+ years of experience in networking and security architecture
- 1 “associate” level certification in Azure among the following: Cloud Architect, Security Architect, Data Architect, Application Architect, Analytics Architect
- Azure Solution Architect certification preferred
- Ability to create draft high and low level technical design templates
- Experience conducting design reviews and architecture reviews
- Understanding of cloud network architecture
- Understanding of cloud security architecture and identity management
- Knowledge of cloud data platforms and services
- Solid grasp of IT governance and controls
- Containerization experience with Docker and Kubernetes is a plus
- Experience with Cloud infrastructure as a service (IaaS) / platform as a service (PaaS)
- Experience with continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) tools for Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Software deployments is a plus
- Experience with Java Scripting or similar scripting language
- Knowledge of Microsoft development platforms
- Knowledge of serverless platforms
- Strong interpersonal collaboration skills and ability to work across technology domains
- Strong verbal skills and ability to communicate both upward and down
- Excellent technical design skills
