This job supports the DuPont EH&S (Environmental Health & Safety) Department to uphold DuPont policies and other Federal environmental, safety and OSHA policies and procedures.
What’s a typical day:
- Employee Training: Facilitate, document, and ensure all employees on site receive the company’s required safety training and site-specific training.
- Conduct/Assist with safety meetings and training programs.
- Field and Job Site Inspections and Observations: Perform job hazard analysis to identify hazards, compliance issues
- Guide employees and management regarding safety compliance issues.
- Customer Interface: Participate in safety initiatives, meetings and programs as required by the customer and work with job site safety personnel to identify and resolve safety issues.
- Administrative: Carry out tech/rep duties in accordance with company policies, compile management reports, and assist with OSHA recordkeeping requirements.
- Assist in addressing environmental issues and safety infractions
- Administer fit testing for those employees wearing respirators
- Involves significant walking throughout the manufacturing facility
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Manufacturing or factory experience required
- Computer Skills incl. proficiency in Microsoft Applications
- Comfortable with a fast-paced, ever-changing environment and possess the ability to handle multiple priorities, make decisions independently, and maintain professionalism
- Industrial/Manufacturing Safety/OSHA Practices knowledge preferred
- Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills to effectively train, motivate, and communicate with employees, supervisors, and customers.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize job duties, and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent people skills as required for interaction with subcontractors and other team members.
- Able to walk the facility throughout the day and lift and/or move 50 pounds
