As the Environmental Scientist- Engineer, you will be working directly under licensed Professional Engineers (PE) and Licensed Site Remediation Professionals (LSRP) providing support for Preliminary Assessments (PA), Site/Remedial Investigations (SI/RI), Receptor Evaluations, and Remedial Actions (RA) in both the office and the field.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare Preliminary and Phase I Environmental Site Assessments
• Schedule, oversee and direct geophysical, drilling, and excavation contractors on the job site
• Soil boring classification and sampling
• Able to carry 20-40 lbs. of equipment when needed
• Monitoring well and temporary well point groundwater sampling
• Prepare environmental reports (PA/SI/RI/RA)
• Prepare electronic data deliverables (EDD)
• Prepare various NJDEP LSRP forms
• Upload reports and forms to NJDEP Online
• Effectively communicate with clients and regulatory agencies.
• Adheres to internal standards, policies and procedures
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• BS in Civil/Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or Geology
• 1 to 3-years of experience in environmental assessment, investigation, and remediation
• Previous field work experience is preferred
• OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER certification
• Familiarity with environmental monitoring and sampling equipment including photoionization detectors (PID), Horiba water quality meters, landfill gas meters, and groundwater sampling pumps (peristaltic, bladder, and variable speed)
• The candidate should also demonstrate attention to detail, as well as good communication and report writing skills
