Job Responsibilities:

Responsible for the daily training and behavioral intervention for the client workers receiving services at Federal sites including all Harrisburg and or Chambersburg locations. Responsible for all activities necessary to secure, maintain and follow-up on employment for identified Federal client workers. Is an advocate for the client worker while striving to ensure successful fulfillment of the contracts.
A. Responsible for all aspects of recruitment for the Federal sites. Responsible to develop and maintain active relationships with all referral sources and specifically funding sources.
B. Conducts all intakes to include, but not be limited to: scheduling, completing all necessary forms, obtaining documentation to meet Goodwill and Ability One standards.
C. Provides specific, on-site job task training as necessary to those client workers who have been identified as needing one-on-one assistance. Keeping in mind that the ultimate goal is competitive employment, training is directed toward strengths and deficits related to successful placement.
D. Addresses inappropriate/unacceptable work behaviors by intervening immediately when such behaviors are reported. Provides disciplinary notices when necessary, working with Human Resources as appropriate. Keeps Custodial Project Managers regularly informed of activities and issues that arise with the client workers.
E. Evaluates client workers’ progress and performance to ensure that client worker is receiving full benefit from services. Maintains Case Progress Notes and client databases for each client worker. Must be prepared to discuss and answer any questions regarding client workers’ performance. Collects client worker data and observes client worker behavior. Assesses behavior, draws conclusion and/or defines problems and initiates/implements appropriate strategies.
F. Identifies individuals ready for competitive employment and assists client workers in preparing to seek competitive employment as necessary and appropriate. Actively seeks specific employment for identified client workers through newspapers, employment services, internet, employment contacts, etc. Provides transportation assistance to the client worker as necessary such as transporting client worker to interviews within the community.
G. Acquires a working knowledge of the local job market, labor trends, and specific employer hiring practices and job requirements.
H. Provides on-site job coaching for a client worker to gain and/or maintain competitive employment to include, but not be limited to: becoming self-trained by the employer; assisting the client worker with the arrangements for transportation; utilizing task analysis and differing instructional methods to facilitate the client worker’s learning; providing such supports as orientation to the physical work site or reviewing the employer’s rules and regulations with the client worker.
I. Initiates, updates, maintains and submits all required reports, logs, etc. in a timely manner. Completes all necessary documentation in regard to Ability One regulatory standards.
J. Participates in all divisional and agency meetings as assigned. Also attends training sessions as assigned. Responsible for documentation and submission of all training received.
K. Performs all duties in a safe manner and ensures that client workers adhere to all safety guidelines.
L. Must become a HCSIS Point of Contact for all Federal Sites as necessary.
M. Reports problems, concerns and progress to Director of Contract Services.
N. Fulfills annual training requirements for licensing, if applicable.

Job Qualifications:

Two years post high school education in a human service field.
Four years work experience in the human service field.
Must possess a current, valid drivers license, reliable vehicle and be able to travel to all Federal Sites and Hubs.
Must possess clear and effective communication skills and ability to communicate and negotiate with a variety of people.
Counsels and trains relating in a manner that is respectful, supportive and therapeutic.
Ability to work maturely with confidential information.
Ability to work beyond normal work schedule as required.
Must be able to obtain and maintain Secret Level Security Clearance.
Must complete and successfully pass State background check, Child Abuse Clearance and FBI Clearance.

Other Relevant Job Information:

Salary Range $15.76 to $17.33 based on experience.
