If you have:

  • Must be experienced with or demonstrated knowledge of the physical inventory process. Knowledge of cutting tools and/or other industrial supplies is a plus
  • Have neat, organized and diligent work habits
  • Innate ability to work quickly and accurately, and follow instructions
  • Must have independent resourcefulness and creativity when seeking solutions to new problems
  • Must have the aptitude to learn new data gathering and reporting systems
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills, with the capability of adapting successfully to individuals of differing talent, aptitude, work pace and personality
  • Capable of handling interruptions, while also managing deadlines and multiple time demands.
  • Computer literacy, with some exposure to Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word & Excel)
  • Experienced using business software or ERP system
  • Experienced using inventory management software
  • Should be familiar with underlying accounting systems and components utilized in inventory transactions, such as procurement, accounts payable, costing, units of measure, sale transactions, transfers, adjustments, FIFO layering, production orders, bills of material and error/discrepancy resolution
  • Must be willing and able to travel while maintaining a valid passport or driver's license without derogatory history or points

A typical day may look like this:

  • Establish and upbeat rapport with the customer and USTG personnel
  • Accommodate outside auditors or other visitors, as required
  • Support program physical inventories on a pre-scheduled, cyclical or “as needed” basis at all USTG locations
  • Assist with processing physical inventory and cycle count results to the systems
  • Support startup or special inventory projects, as required by the operations group
  • Perform audits of USTG owned inventory and transactions
  • Provide assistance and training to program personnel, as it relates to recording transactions, utilizing correct units of measure, creating and receiving purchase orders, remitting documentation, on-site system transactions, and other events which may affect inventory or transaction accuracy
  • Interact with buyers, receivers, and managers to address and resolve quantity disparities between on-site systems and our centralized ERP system
  • Implement controls designed to admonish quantity disparities between on-site systems and our centralized ERP system
  • Help to maintain special instructions for each inventory practice and location
  • Attend meetings representing your team, department or assignments
  • Perform clerical duties, as necessary
  • Other general inventory management, accounting and systems duties as deemed appropriate from time to time
  • Assignable Roles may include:
    • Crib Attendant, Warehouse Attendant, Material Handler
    • Receiver
    • Project Lead

  • Up to 90% Traveling
  • 20% Sitting
  • 80% Standing and walking
  • Occasional light lifting of up to 25 lbs. from ground level to waist and shoulder height
