Financial Analyst Job at Hunter Hamilton
We are working with a client in Warrenville and they are looking for a Financial Analyst to fill a direct hire role. The Financial Analyst will assist with company-wide reporting, analysis and planning as well as financial activities within Corporate cost centers. This role will interact with leaders across the organization, require attention to detail and critical thinking skills. Financial Analysis experience in a mid to large size corporate environment is a must. Understanding of general accounting practices is also preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Prepares consolidated reporting, waterfall charts and various other financial statements and reports
- Performs analyses of actual, forecast and budget results with a focus on key business factors driving financial performance to aid decision-making by senior management
- Partners with business unit finance leaders to continually improve the budgeting and forecasting processes from all aspects
- Responsible for the reconciliation of financial measures and general ledger accounts
- Serves as resource for Corporate cost center owners in assisting with planning and cost management
- Coordinates accounting matters with shared services
- Participates in special projects and performs other ad hoc duties as assigned
Required Skills
- Strong technical skills (Microsoft Office products) required. Hyperion Financial
- Ability to multi-task and manage shifting priorities and deadlines, with attention to
- detail and an ability to work both independently and in a team environment
- Excellent problem solving, communication, & interpersonal skills required
Required Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
Minimum 3-5 years of related work experience required
FA experience in a manufacturing environment is needed
General accounting understanding is also required
Waterfall or bridge chart consolidation understanding is a plus
Strong analytical skills is a must
Management (HFM), Essbase and SAP experience a plus
