AM/PM, Full Time (1.0) Position APPROXIMATE PAY RANGE: $23.12 - $28.43 The porter is responsible for ordering, receiving, stocking, and rotating food and non-food supplies. This position will check in all deliveries to insure needed products are received and that they are in appropriate condition upon receipt. This position is also responsible for general department sanitation, maintenance and cleaning of large kitchen equipment, emptying refuse containers, and assisting catering duties as assigned. 1. Inventory and Ordering: Completes food and non-food supplies inventory, communicates with FNS team on supply needs and places orders with appropriate vendors. Works with Director to ensure budget management of orders. 2. Delivery Organization: Receives delivery, checks invoices against items received and inputs invoices into computer file. Contacts vendors to return errors in items ordered and/or return unacceptable products. 3. Storage Management: Restocks and dates delivery of goods following a sanitary method utilizing FIFO, which meets all State and Federal Regulations. Restocks needed food and supplies to staff areas while routinely checking expiration dates of goods. 4. Waste Removal: Empty trash bins and ensures all waste is disposed of promptly while maintaining clean and sanitary waste reciprocals. Collects visibly soiled or wet kitchen rags and places in laundry hampers. Exchanges laundry hampers once full. 5. Dishwashing: Dishes, ranging from pots and pans to cutlery, are either hand washed or loaded into the dishwasher, as necessary. Restocks dry dishes in appropriate places within the kitchen. 6. Hospital Caterings: Delivers, picks up and cleans up after catered events as necessary. 7. Equipment Maintenance: Biannual training with engineering department to ensure and complete expectations of maintaining and cleaning large equipment in kitchen. 8. Kitchen Cleaning: Follows weekly cleaning schedule provided by Director. Maintains a orderly work area. Perform final sweep of kitchen prior to ending shift to ensure all surfaces area clean and kitchen is ready for the following day. 9. Cross Training: Complete cross training in other areas of the kitchen to assist with workflow and teamwork as needed. 10. Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Qualification: 1. High School graduate or equivalent preferred. 2. Previous experience with food services preferred. 3. California Food Handler's Card required.
