Hope Valley Country Club is seeking a Food Runner.

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY

• Deliver food to the proper tables and in a timely manner.
• Assist servers in bussing and cleaning tables.
• Uphold sanitation and food safety principles throughout the shift.
• At the beginning of the shift, patio should be swept and chairs are all arranged around the tables.
• At the end of the night, the restaurant should be cleaned thoroughly.
• During banquets, maintain the buffet line by replenishing food. Set up and breakdown all buffets, and the proper storage and cleaning of all chafing dishes.
• During slow periods, the Food Runner should ask the Restaurant Manager for additional tasks.

• Walk, sit, stand for long periods of time, bend, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear, stoop, kneel, crouch, close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
• Lift up to 25 lbs. regularly; up to 50 lbs. occasionally and to lift overhead and push/pull, move lighter objects.

• Be exposed to outside weather conditions including temperatures over 90 and below 40 degrees.
• Indoor conditions that may be very hot or cold.
• Work near: moving mechanical parts, fumes, toxic or caustic chemicals.
• Noise level in the work environment is frequently loud.

The Food Runner enhances the dining experience for the guest. This position reports to the club’s Food and Beverage Manager.
