Full Time - 40 hours AM Shift APPROXIMATE PAY RANGE $19.71 - $24.24 ESSENTIAL DUTIES Follows established procedures for processing patients for outpatient, pre-admit, OP surgery, and Pre-Op laboratory testing Follows established procedures for the processing of Reference Lab results Answers phones and directs calls appropriately. Takes accurate messages and communicates priorities to Phlebotomists and Clinical Lab Scientists Phones and faxes laboratory results in a timely manner when asked to do so by a scientist Monitors LabCom logging terminal for problems and takes corrective action when indicated according to established protocol Prepares outpatient lab results for mailing to physicians? offices on a daily basis Other Duties Assists Medical Secretary with distribution of Pathology reports Files outpatient lab requisitions, reference lab results, pathology reports and file cards on a daily basis Assists Medical Secretary in maintaining adequate office and Pathology supplies Assists with maintaining a clean and organized work environment Performs other job-related duties as assigned by the Medical secretary, Pathologists and the Manager, Laboratory
Required Qualification: QUALIFICATIONS *License/Certification N/A *Proof of all license and certification is required at time of hire. **Education High school graduate preferred. **Required educational levels call for proof at time of hire. Experience Skills Employee must demonstrate basic computer skills Knowledge of medical terminology Computer skills helpful Demonstrates desire and ability to learn Vaccine requirement To protect the health of our patients and our health care workers, and to preserve the safety of the St. Rose Hospital healthcare environment, we require all health system employees, trainees, volunteers, and others who regularly work within the health system to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, including booster.
